Illinois High School Basketball - Willowbrook knocked off by Maine South
December 27, 2022: Villa Park, IL 60181 The Maine South Hawks basketball team scored 52 points and held the host Willowbrook Warriors to 40 in the Hawks non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Hawks now sport a 4-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to St. Charles East for a non-league contest on Wednesday, December 28. Maine South will meet a Fighting Saints team coming off a 83-58 non-league loss to Homewood-Flossmoor (Flossmoor, IL). The Fighting Saints record now stands at 5-7.
The Warriors (1-9) will now prepare for their contest against Leyden (Franklin Park, IL). The Eagles enter the West Suburban - Gold contest with a 6-5 record. In their last contest, Leyden ran past Sandburg (Orland Park, IL), 49-48, in a non-league contest.
