New Jersey High School Basketball - Plainfield can't hold off Orange
December 27, 2022: Orange, NJ 07050 The Orange Tornadoes basketball team scored 54 points and held the visiting Plainfield Cardinals to 53 in the Tornadoes non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Tornadoes now sport a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host West Essex for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 3. Orange will battle a Knights team coming off a 62-55 non-league loss to Newark Tech (Newark, NJ). The Knights record now stands at 3-1.
The Cardinals (1-3) will now prepare for their contest against Union Catholic (Scotch Plains, NJ). The Vikings enter the non-league contest with a 2-3 record. In their last contest, Union Catholic was nudged by Saddle River Day (Saddle River, NJ), 67-56, in a non-league contest.
