New Jersey High School Basketball - Barringer overwhelmed by Central
December 27, 2022: Newark, NJ 07103 The Central Blue Devils basketball team scored 58 points and restricted the visiting Barringer Blue Bears to 5 in the Blue Devils non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Blue Devils now sport a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Newark Academy for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 3. Central will battle a Minutemen team coming off a 53-43 non-league win over Cedar Grove (Cedar Grove, NJ). The Minutemen record now stands at 4-0.
The Blue Bears (1-3) will now prepare for their contest against Irvington (Irvington, NJ). The Blue Knights come into the non-league contest with a 4-0 record. In their last contest, Irvington triumphed over Elmwood Park (Elmwood Park, NJ), 40-35, in a non-league contest.
