December 27, 2022: Augusta, GA 30907 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Burke County Bears (Waynesboro, GA) and the host Westside Patriots (Augusta, GA), saw Burke County's basketball squad hold off Westside by a tally of 45-40.
With the victory, Burke County improves its record to 3-5 on the campaign. The Bears travel to Greenbrier (Evans, GA) to play the Wolfpack in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, December 28. The Wolfpack come into the challenge with a record of 9-3. Greenbrier lost 59-47 in their recent non-league challenge against Josey (Augusta, GA)
Next up, the Patriots play the Evans Knights (Evans, GA) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, December 28. Westside will attempt to improve on its 4-6 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 2-9 record after their 41-37 non-league loss to Greene County (Greensboro, GA).
