New York High School Basketball - Canajoharie overwhelmed by Central Valley Academy
December 27, 2022: Ilion, NY 13357 The Central Valley Academy Thunder basketball team scored 59 points and restricted the visiting Canajoharie Cougars to 34 in the Thunder non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Thunder now sport a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Notre Dame for a Section 3 Tri-Valley contest on Tuesday, January 3. Central Valley Academy will battle a Jugglers team coming off a 58-52 non-league loss to Amsterdam (Amsterdam, NY). The Jugglers record now stands at 4-2.
The Cougars (2-4) will now prepare for their contest against Middleburgh (Middleburgh, NY). The Knights come into the Section 2 Western contest with a 0-6 record. In their last contest, Middleburgh was routed by Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk (Ravena, NY), 64-13, in a non-league contest.
