Texas High School Basketball - Nimitz knocked off by La Porte
December 27, 2022: Houston, TX 77073 The La Porte Bulldogs basketball team scored 45 points and held the host Nimitz Cougars to 29 in the Bulldogs non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Bulldogs now sport a 15-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Goose Creek Memorial for a non-league contest on Wednesday, December 28. La Porte will battle a Patriots team coming off a 44-33 league loss to Port Neches-Groves (Port Neches, TX). The Patriots record now stands at 1-7.
The Cougars (8-8) will now prepare for their contest against Benjamin Davis (Houston, TX). The Falcons enter the 6A Region II District 14 contest with a 4-10 record. In their last contest, Benjamin Davis ran past Galena Park (Galena Park, TX), 62-23, in a non-league contest.
