The Neptune Scarlet Fliers basketball team (Neptune, NJ), was nudged 43-40 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the visiting Middle Township Panthers (Cape May Court House, NJ)

The Panthers now possess a 5-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mainland Regional for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 3. Middle Township will meet a Mustangs team coming off a 59-28 league win over Neptune (Neptune, NJ). The Mustangs record now stands at 5-0.

The Scarlet Fliers (1-5) will now prepare for their contest against St. Rose (Belmar, NJ). The Purple Roses enter the Shore C - North contest with a 4-0 record. In their last contest, St. Rose nudged Manasquan (Manasquan, NJ), 45-33, in a league contest.
