In Wednesday's non-league outing, the St. Stephens Indians (Hickory, NC) basketball squad edged the host Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC), by a count of 51-48.

The Indians (6-3) will now prepare for their outing against Maiden (Maiden, NC). The Blue Devils go into the non-league outing with a 7-2 record. In their last outing, Maiden held off Foard (Newton, NC), 49-38, in a non-league outing.
