Virginia High School Basketball - Tunstall fells Alleghany
December 27, 2023: Dry Fork, VA 24549 Tunstall Trojans (Dry Fork, VA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Alleghany Cougars (Covington, VA), 62-50 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Tunstall upgrades its record to 9-0 on the season. The Trojans travel to Liberty Christian (Lynchburg, VA) to clash with the Bulldogs in a Seminole bout on Thursday, December 28. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 3-4. Liberty Christian won 68-59 in their recent non-league bout against William Byrd (Vinton, VA)
Next up, the Cougars clash with the Carroll County Cavaliers (Hillsville, VA) in a Three Rivers bout, on Tuesday, January 2. Alleghany will attempt to upgrade on its 6-2 season record. The Cavaliers go into the bout with a 6-0 record after their 61-33 non-league win over Grayson County (Independence, VA).
