The Mars Fightin' Planets basketball team scored 75 points and held the visiting Archbishop McNicholas Rockets to 70 in the Fightin' Planets non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Fightin' Planets now sport a 3-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host North Hills for a WPIAL 5A 4 contest on Tuesday, January 2. Mars will battle a Indians team coming off a 57-51 non-league loss to Grove City (Grove City, PA). The Indians record now stands at 3-4.

The Rockets (4-4) will now prepare for their contest against Lawrence County (Lawrenceburg, TN). The Wildcats enter the non-league contest with a 11-1 record. In their last contest, Lawrence County nudged Pensacola Catholic (Pensacola, FL), 64-55, in a non-league contest.
