December 27, 2023: Bogalusa, LA 70427 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Phoenix Spartans (Braithwaite, LA) and the host Bogalusa Lumberjacks (Bogalusa, LA), saw Phoenix's basketball squad knock off Bogalusa by a count of 64-50.
With the victory, Phoenix upgrades its record to 6-6 on the campaign. The Spartans host Mandeville (Mandeville, LA) to play the Skippers in a non-league challenge on Thursday, December 28. The Skippers come into the challenge with a record of 8-6. Mandeville lost 81-77 in their recent non-league challenge against St. Martin's Episcopal (Metairie, LA)
Next up, the Lumberjacks play the Salmen Spartans (Slidell, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, January 3. Bogalusa will attempt to upgrade on its 1-6 season record. The Spartans come into the challenge with a 6-10 record after their 54-46 non-league loss to Picayune (Picayune, MS).
