Kentucky High School Basketball - Elliott County can't hold off Bracken County
December 27, 2023: Sandy Hook, KY 41171 The Bracken County Polar Bears basketball team scored 69 points and held the host Elliott County Lions to 62 in the Polar Bears non-league triumph on Wednesday.
The Polar Bears now sport a 2-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bath County for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 28. Bracken County will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 76-36 non-league loss to Bryan Station (Lexington, KY). The Wildcats record now stands at 1-11.
The Lions (1-9) will now prepare for their contest against Nicholas County (Carlisle, KY). The Bluejackets enter the non-league contest with a 5-5 record. In their last contest, Nicholas County nudged Eminence (Eminence, KY), 62-20, in a non-league contest.
