December 27, 2023: Storrs, CT 06268 The Edwin O. Smith Panthers basketball team scored 70 points and held the visiting Wethersfield Eagles to 50 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Wednesday.
The Panthers now sport a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Enfield for a Central Connecticut - East Patriot contest on Tuesday, January 2.
The Eagles (0-4) will now prepare for their contest against Hale Ray (Moodus, CT). The Noises enter the non-league contest with a 2-2 record. In their last contest, Hale Ray was outscored by North Branford (North Branford, CT), 61-59, in a league contest.
