Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Ellwood City Wolverine (Ellwood City, PA) and the host Redbank Valley Bulldogs (New Bethlehem, PA), saw Ellwood City's basketball squad hold off Redbank Valley by a tally of 77-71.

With the victory, Ellwood City improves its record to 4-5 on the campaign. The Wolverine host Maplewood (Guys Mills, PA) to play the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Thursday, December 28. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 0-5. Maplewood lost 60-17 in their recent league challenge against Mercer (Mercer, PA)
