Greenforest Eagles (Decatur, GA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Newton Rams (Covington, GA), 48-38 in a league bout.

With the win, Greenforest upgrades its record to 7-4 on the season. The Eagles travel to Langston Hughes (Fairburn, GA) to play the Panthers in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 28. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 8-1. Langston Hughes won 79-60 in their recent non-league bout against Fayette County (Fayetteville, GA)

Next up, the Rams play the Fayette County Tigers (Fayetteville, GA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 28. Newton will attempt to upgrade on its 8-2 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 7-3 record after their 79-60 non-league loss to Langston Hughes (Fairburn, GA).
