Missouri High School Basketball - Viola holds off Houston
December 27, 2023: Houston, MO 65483 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Viola Longhorns (Viola, AR) and the host Houston Tigers (Houston, MO), saw Viola's basketball squad hold off Houston by a tally of 61-59.
With the victory, Viola improves its record to 10-14 on the campaign. The Longhorns travel to Dora (Dora, MO) to confront the Falcons in a non-league challenge on Thursday, December 28. The Falcons come into the challenge with a record of 0-2. Dora lost 57-49 in their recent non-league challenge against Eminence (Eminence, MO)
Next up, the Tigers confront the Newburg Wolves (Newburg, MO) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 2. Houston will attempt to improve on its 1-6 season record. The Wolves come into the challenge with a 4-2 record after their 78-62 non-league win over Vienna (Vienna, MO).
