December 27, 2023: Wayne, NJ 07470 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Pioneer Academy Eagles (Wayne, NJ) and the visiting Neptune Scarlet Fliers (Neptune, NJ), saw Pioneer Academy's basketball squad hold off Neptune by a tally of 47-41.
With the victory, Pioneer Academy improves its record to 3-0 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to King (Stamford, CT) to encounter the Vikings in a non-league test on Wednesday, January 3. The Vikings go into the test with a record of 0-1. King lost 66-54 in their recent non-league test against Rocky Hill Country Day (East Greenwich, RI)
The Scarlet Fliers now own a 0-6 record. They play next when they travel to Marlboro for a non-league test on Wednesday, January 3. Neptune will encounter a Mustangs squad coming off a 58-52 non-league win over Middletown South (Middletown, NJ). The Mustangs record now stands at 2-3.
