The New Castle Trojans (New Castle, IN) basketball nipped the visiting Triton Central Tigers (Fairland, IN), 48-44 in Wednesday's non-league test.

The Trojans (4-6) will now prepare for their test against Richmond (Richmond, IN). The Red Devils go into the non-league test with a 10-0 record.

The Tigers now own a 7-3 record. They play next when they travel to Norwell for a non-league test on Wednesday, December 27. Triton Central will encounter a Knights squad coming off a 38-31 non-league win over Bluffton (Bluffton, IN). The Knights record now stands at 5-2.
