New York High School Basketball - Owego Free Academy holds off South Jefferson
December 27, 2023: Adams, NY 13605 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Owego Free Academy River Hawks (Owego, NY) and the host South Jefferson Spartans (Adams, NY), saw Owego Free Academy's basketball squad hold off South Jefferson by a tally of 60-53.
With the victory, Owego Free Academy improves its record to 6-2 on the campaign. The River Hawks travel to Bishop Ludden (Syracuse, NY) to confront the Gaelic Knights in a non-league challenge on Thursday, December 28. The Gaelic Knights come into the challenge with a record of 3-2.
Next up, the Spartans confront the Carthage Comets (Carthage, NY) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 2. South Jefferson will attempt to improve on its 2-3 season record.
