Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Sandy Pioneers (Sandy, OR) and the host South Eugene Axe (Eugene, OR), saw Sandy's basketball squad hold off South Eugene by a tally of 76-71.

With the victory, Sandy improves its record to 7-0 on the campaign. The Pioneers travel to Franklin (Portland, OR) to confront the Quakers in a non-league challenge on Thursday, December 28. The Quakers come into the challenge with a record of 2-5. Franklin won 59-57 in their recent non-league challenge against Century (Hillsboro, OR)
