December 27, 2023: , The Tournament Opponent basketball team (, ), was toppled 46-26 in Wednesday's non-league battle with the visiting Sumter Gamecocks (Sumter, SC)
The Gamecocks now possess a 4-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Westwood for a non-league battle on Thursday, December 28. Sumter will confront a Redhawks team coming off a 38-31 non-league win over Blythewood (Blythewood, SC). The Redhawks record now stands at 7-0.
