December 27, 2023: Lake Arthur, LA 70549 Lake Arthur Tigers (Lake Arthur, LA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Abbeville Wildcats (Abbeville, LA), 71-42 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Lake Arthur upgrades its record to 13-5 on the season. The Tigers host Sulphur (Sulphur, LA) to confront the Golden Tors in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 2. The Golden Tors come into the challenge with a record of 9-8. Sulphur won 44-6 in their recent non-league challenge against Acadiana Renaissance Charter Academy (Youngsville, LA)
Next up, the Wildcats confront the Cecilia Bulldogs (Cecilia, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, January 3. Abbeville will attempt to improve on its 6-3 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 6-4 record after their 66-14 non-league loss to St. Martinville (St. Martinville, LA).
