Maryland High School Basketball - Oakdale holds off Archmere Academy
December 27, 2023: Ijamsville, MD 21754 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Oakdale (Ijamsville, MD) and the visiting Archmere Academy Auks (Claymont, DE), saw Oakdale's basketball squad hold off Archmere Academy by a tally of 42-38.
With the victory, Oakdale improves its record to 5-2 on the campaign. The travel to Frederick (Frederick, MD) to confront the Cadets in a Central Maryland challenge on Tuesday, January 2. The Cadets come into the challenge with a record of 7-0. Frederick won 69-40 in their recent league challenge against Tuscarora (Frederick, MD)
Next up, the Auks confront the Newark Charter School Patriots (Newark, DE) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 4. Archmere Academy will attempt to improve on its 1-4 season record. The Patriots come into the challenge with a 2-3 record after their 53-41 non-league loss to Middletown (Middletown, DE).
