December 27, 2023: Viola, AR 72583 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Viola Longhorns (Viola, AR) and the visiting Bauxite Miners (Bauxite, AR), saw Viola's basketball squad overcome Bauxite by a tally of 45-34.
With the victory, Viola improves its record to 5-12 on the campaign. The Longhorns travel to Clinton (Clinton, AR) to confront the Yellowjackets in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 2. The Yellowjackets come into the challenge with a record of 9-8. Clinton lost 55-49 in their recent non-league challenge against Arkadelphia (Arkadelphia, AR)
Next up, the Miners confront the Hall Warriors (Little Rock, AR) in a 4A Region 5 challenge, on Friday, January 5. Bauxite will attempt to improve on its 2-11 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 2-7 record after their 65-34 league win over Robinson (Little Rock, AR).
