Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Freire Charter crushes Cristo Rey Philadelphia
December 27, 2023: Philadelphia, PA 19132 Freire Charter Dragon (Philadelphia, PA) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Cristo Rey Philadelphia Blue Pride (Philadelphia, PA), 54-31 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Freire Charter upgrades its record to 4-5 on the campaign. The Dragon travel to State College (State College, PA) to play the Little Lions in a non-league battle on Thursday, December 28. The Little Lions come into the battle with a record of 4-3. State College won 46-28 in their recent league battle against Cumberland Valley (Mechanicsburg, PA)
The Blue Pride (2-3) will now prepare for their battle against West Catholic (Philadelphia, PA). The Burrs come into the Philadelphia Catholic battle with a 4-2 record. In their last battle, West Catholic trounced George School (Newtown, PA), 70-46, in a non-league battle.
