Tennessee High School Basketball - Upperman fells Elizabethton
December 27, 2023: Elizabethton, TN 37643 Upperman Bees (Baxter, TN) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Elizabethton Fighting Cyclones (Elizabethton, TN), 63-54 in a non-league challenge.
With the victory, Upperman improves its record to 12-2 on the campaign. The Bees travel to Stone Memorial (Crossville, TN) to confront the Panthers in a 3A District 7 challenge on Friday, January 5. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 2-6.
Next up, the Fighting Cyclones confront the Dobyns-Bennett Indians (Kingsport, TN) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 2. Elizabethton will attempt to improve on its 4-7 season record. The Indians come into the challenge with a 4-4 record after their 57-56 non-league loss to Lincoln County (Fayetteville, TN).
