Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Hammond Central Wolves (Hammond, IN) and the host Plainfield East Bengals (Plainfield, IL), saw Hammond Central's basketball squad knock off Plainfield East by a count of 69-56.

With the victory, Hammond Central upgrades its record to 13-3 on the season. The Wolves travel to Lincoln-Way East (Frankfort, IL) to encounter the Griffins in a non-league test on Wednesday, December 27. The Griffins go into the test with a record of 12-3. Lincoln-Way East won 58-23 in their recent non-league test against Bradley-Bourbonnais (Bradley, IL)
