In Wednesday's non-league match, the visiting The Covenant Eagles basketball team scored a good 41-33 triumph over the William Monroe Dragons.

In their next game, the Eagles meet the Charlottesville Black Knights (Charlottesville, VA) in a non-league match, on Thursday, December 28. The Covenant will attempt to better on its 5-2 season record. The Black Knights enter the match with a 8-0 record after their 74-27 non-league win over Atlee (Mechanicsville, VA).

With the defeat, William Monroe moves to 3-5 on the year. The Dragons travel to Broadway (Broadway, VA) to meet the Gobblers in a Valley match on Tuesday, January 2.
