December 27, 2023: Vinton, VA 24179 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the William Byrd Terriers (Vinton, VA) and the visiting Liberty Christian Bulldogs (Lynchburg, VA), saw William Byrd's basketball squad overcome Liberty Christian by a tally of 58-48.
With the victory, William Byrd improves its record to 4-2 on the campaign. The Terriers travel to Fleming (Roanoke, VA) to confront the Colonels in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, January 3. The Colonels come into the challenge with a record of 1-1. Fleming lost 56-46 in their recent non-league challenge against Albemarle (Charlottesville, VA)
Next up, the Bulldogs confront the Alleghany Cougars (Covington, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 28. Liberty Christian will attempt to improve on its 4-2 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 7-0 record after their 55-31 non-league win over Tunstall (Dry Fork, VA).
