Virginia High School Basketball - Roanoke Catholic nudges Rustburg
December 27, 2023: Roanoke, VA 24016 Roanoke Catholic Celtics (Roanoke, VA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Rustburg Red Devils (Rustburg, VA), 37-36 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Roanoke Catholic upgrades its record to 2-2 on the season. The Celtics travel to Northside (Roanoke, VA) to clash with the Vikings in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 28. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 6-1. Northside won 66-25 in their recent non-league bout against Auburn (Riner, VA)
Next up, the Red Devils clash with the Heritage Pioneers (Lynchburg, VA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 4. Rustburg will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record. The Pioneers go into the bout with a 7-1 record after their 50-37 non-league win over Amherst County (Amherst, VA).
