New Jersey High School Basketball - Allentown can't hold off Neptune
December 27, 2024: Neptune, NJ 07753 Neptune Scarlet Fliers (Neptune, NJ) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Allentown Redbirds (Allentown, NJ), 48-45 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Neptune advances its record to 4-1 on the year. The Scarlet Fliers travel to Union City (Union City, NJ) to face the Soaring Eagles in a non-league match on Saturday, December 28. The Soaring Eagles enter the match with a record of 3-1. Union City won 58-48 in their recent non-league match against Wayne Valley (Wayne, NJ)
The Redbirds now own a 1-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Monmouth Regional for a non-league match on Saturday, December 28. Allentown will face a Falcons squad coming off a 76-39 non-league loss to Ranney (Tinton Falls, NJ). The Falcons record now stands at 0-3.
