December 27, 2024: Middletown, PA 17057 Altoona Mountain Lions (Altoona, PA) boosters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the host Middletown Blue Raiders (Middletown, PA), 58-49 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Altoona upgrades its record to 2-6 on the year. The Mountain Lions travel to Cumberland Valley (Mechanicsburg, PA) to face the Eagles in a Mid-Penn - Commonwealth match on Thursday, January 2. The Eagles enter the match with a record of 8-2. Cumberland Valley won 82-47 in their recent non-league match against Downingtown West (Downingtown, PA)
The Blue Raiders now sport a 6-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Manheim Township for a non-league match on Saturday, December 28. Middletown will face a Blue Streaks squad coming off a 56-49 non-league win over Central Dauphin East (Harrisburg, PA). The Blue Streaks record now stands at 5-2.
