North Carolina High School Basketball - Ashe County thwarts Jordan-Matthews

The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC) and the host Jordan-Matthews Jets (Siler City, NC), observed Ashe County's basketball team knock off Jordan-Matthews by a score of 60-52.

The Huskies (5-5) will now prepare for their challenge against John Battle (Bristol, VA). The Trojans come into the non-league challenge with a 2-5 record. In their last challenge, John Battle was knocked off by Panther Creek (Cary, NC), 53-46, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Jets encounter the Bartlett Yancey Buccaneers (Yanceyville, NC) in a 1A/2A Mid-Carolina challenge, on Tuesday, January 7. Jordan-Matthews will attempt to improve on its 2-8 season record.
