The Fairmont Heights Hornets basketball team scored 69 points and limited the host Carver Vo-Tech Bears to 55 in the Hornets non-league triumph on Friday.

The Hornets now have a 6-1 record. They play next when they travel to Central for a Prince George's County 3A/2A/1A game on Tuesday, January 7. Fairmont Heights will confront a Falcons team coming off a 69-55 non-league loss to La Plata (La Plata, MD). The Falcons record now stands at 0-6.

With the loss, Carver Vo-Tech falls to 4-4 on the campaign. The Bears travel to Southwestern (Baltimore, MD) to confront the Sabers in a non-league game on Thursday, January 2. The Sabers go into the game with a record of 1-3. Southwestern won 68-16 in their recent league game against National Academy Foundation (Baltimore, MD)
