In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting Richland County Tigers basketball team scored a good 58-40 triumph over the Christopher Bearcats.

The Tigers (8-7) will now prepare for their contest against Meridian (Mounds, IL). The Bobcats go into the non-league contest with a 8-3 record. In their last contest, Meridian topped Ritenour (Overland, MO), 64-60, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Bearcats confront the Trico Pioneers (Campbell Hill, IL) in a Black Diamond - West contest, on Tuesday, January 7. Christopher will attempt to better on its 4-5 season record. The Pioneers go into the contest with a 2-9 record after their 40-26 non-league loss to Woodlawn (Woodlawn, IL).
