New Jersey High School Basketball - Columbia sneaks past DePaul Catholic
December 27, 2024: Maplewood, NJ 07040 The Columbia Cougars basketball squad scored 56 points and restricted the visiting DePaul Catholic Spartans to 53 in the Cougars non-league win on Friday.
Next, the Cougars clash with the Storm King Cougars (Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY) in a non-league test, on Saturday, December 28. Columbia will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record. The Cougars come into the test with a 2-2 record after their 84-54 non-league loss to Kents Hill School (Kents Hill, ME).
The Spartans (3-1) will now prepare for their test against Irvington (Irvington, NJ). The Blue Knights come into the non-league test with a 3-1 record. In their last test, Irvington held off Burlington Township (Burlington, NJ), 69-67, in a non-league test.
