December 27, 2024: Slaton, TX 79364 The West Texas Tornadoes Tornadoes basketball team scored 70 points and limited the visiting Friona Chieftans to 58 in the Tornadoes non-league triumph on Friday.
The Tornadoes now have a 8-2 record. They play next when they travel to Smyer for a non-league game on Friday, December 27.
With the loss, Friona falls to 3-13 on the campaign. The Chieftans travel to Merkel (Merkel, TX) to confront the Badgers in a non-league game on Saturday, December 28. The Badgers go into the game with a record of 4-9. Merkel lost 58-53 in their recent non-league game against Coleman (Coleman, TX)
