North Carolina High School Basketball - Union Pines holds off Glenn

In Friday's non-league contest, the host Union Pines Vikings basketball team scored a close 53-48 triumph over the Glenn Bobcats.

The Vikings (8-3) will now prepare for their contest against Overhills (Spring Lake, NC). The Jaguars go into the non-league contest with a 8-2 record. In their last contest, Overhills nipped Cummings (Burlington, NC), 67-41, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Bobcats confront the R.J. Reynolds Demons (Winston-Salem, NC) in a 4A Central Piedmont contest, on Friday, January 3. Glenn will attempt to better on its 4-7 season record. The Demons go into the contest with a 4-6 record after their 75-70 non-league loss to Carver (Winston-Salem, NC).
