The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Granite Falls Tigers (Granite Falls, WA) and the visiting Vashon Island Pirates (Vashon Island, WA), observed Granite Falls's basketball team edge Vashon Island by a margin of 53-50.

The Tigers (2-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Friday Harbor (Friday Harbor, WA). The Wolverines come into the non-league challenge with a 0-8 record. In their last challenge, Friday Harbor was tipped by Forks (Forks, WA), 52-41, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Pirates battle the Concordia Christian Academy Hawks (Tacoma, WA) in a non-league test, on Friday, January 3. Vashon Island will attempt to improve on its 1-6 season record.
