Texas High School Basketball - Independence toppled by Princeton
December 27, 2024: Princeton, TX 75407 Princeton Panthers (Princeton, TX) boosters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting Independence Knights (Frisco, TX), 57-49 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Princeton upgrades its record to 6-12 on the season. The Panthers travel to Prosper (Prosper, TX) to battle the Eagles in a 6A Region I District 6 challenge on Tuesday, December 31. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 17-3. Prosper won 57-37 in their recent non-league challenge against Granbury (Granbury, TX)
In their next game, the Knights battle the Corsicana Tigers (Corsicana, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 28. Independence will attempt to improve on its 9-11 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 5-12 record after their 75-47 non-league loss to Tyler Legacy (Tyler, TX).
