In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting McNary Celtics basketball team scored a close 53-49 triumph over the Sheldon Irish.

The Celtics (7-1) will now prepare for their contest against Redmond (Redmond, OR). The Panthers go into the non-league contest with a 6-1 record. In their last contest, Redmond nipped Marshfield (Coos Bay, OR), 57-43, in a non-league contest.
