In Friday's non-league contest, the host Menlo-Atherton Bears basketball team scored a close 59-54 triumph over the Miramonte Matadors.

The Bears (5-2) will now prepare for their contest against Palma (Salinas, CA). The Chieftains go into the non-league contest with a 8-1 record. In their last contest, Palma nipped Stevenson (Pebble Beach, CA), 62-41, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Matadors battle the Windsor Jaguars (Windsor, CA) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, December 28. Miramonte will attempt to better on its 5-6 season record. The Jaguars go into the contest with a 10-2 record after their 49-39 non-league win over Westmoor (Daly City, CA).
