Illinois High School Basketball - Pinckneyville routs Mt. Carmel
December 27, 2024: Pinckneyville, IL 62274 In Friday's non-league contest, the host Pinckneyville Panthers basketball team scored a big 77-17 win over the Mt. Carmel Golden Aces.
The Panthers (10-1) will now prepare for their contest against Anna-Jonesboro (Anna, IL). The Wildcats come into the Southern Illinois River-to-River - Mississippi contest with a 4-8 record. In their last contest, Anna-Jonesboro was trounced by Massac County (Metropolis, IL), 51-49, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Golden Aces battle the Salem Wildcats (Salem, IL) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, December 28. Mt. Carmel will attempt to better on its 3-10 season record. The Wildcats come into the contest with a 2-9 record after their 74-34 league win over East Alton-Wood River (Wood River, IL).
