December 27, 2024: Youngsville, LA The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Southside Sharks (Youngsville, LA) and the visiting Opelousas Tigers (Opelousas, LA), observed Southside's basketball team knock off Opelousas by a score of 50-42.
The Sharks (9-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Donaldsonville (Donaldsonville, LA). The Tigers come into the non-league challenge with a 6-3 record. In their last challenge, Donaldsonville prevailed over Thibodaux (Thibodaux, LA), 67-62, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Tigers encounter the John Ehret Patriots (Marrero, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 28. Opelousas will attempt to improve on its 6-4 season record. The Patriots come into the challenge with a 4-11 record after their 55-41 non-league win over White Castle (White Castle, LA).
