Georgia High School Basketball - Quitman County toppled by Terrell Academy
December 27, 2024: Dawson, GA 39842 Terrell Academy Eagles (Dawson, GA) supporters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting Quitman County Hornets (Georgetown, GA), 64-54 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Terrell Academy advances its record to 7-2 on the year. The Eagles travel to Abbeville Christian Academy (Abbeville, AL) to face the Generals in a non-league match on Saturday, December 28. The Generals enter the match with a record of 6-4. Abbeville Christian Academy won 59-40 in their recent non-league match against Pataula Charter Academy (Edison, GA)
The Hornets now own a 4-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Calhoun County for a A D2 Region 1 match on Tuesday, January 7. Quitman County will face a Cougars squad coming off a 83-58 non-league win over Greene County (Greensboro, GA). The Cougars record now stands at 11-0.
