In Friday's non-league contest, the host Riverside Argonauts basketball team scored a big 67-40 triumph over the Springs Valley Blackhawks.

The Argonauts (8-2) will now prepare for their contest against Brown County (Nashville, IN). The Eagles go into the non-league contest with a 2-3 record. In their last contest, Brown County was trounced by West Vigo (West Terre Haute, IN), 77-69, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Blackhawks battle the South Spencer Rebels (Rockport, IN) in a non-league contest, on Friday, January 3. Springs Valley will attempt to better on its 2-5 season record. The Rebels go into the contest with a 2-4 record after their 54-49 non-league loss to Charlestown (Charlestown, IN).
