In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting The Meadows School Mustangs basketball team scored a close 72-68 triumph over the Valley Vikings.

The Mustangs (8-5) will now prepare for their contest against Basic (Henderson, NV). The Wolves go into the non-league contest with a 3-7 record. In their last contest, Basic was tipped by Arbor View (Las Vegas, NV), 72-50, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Vikings confront the Sunrise Mountain Miners (Las Vegas, NV) in a 4A Mountain contest, on Monday, January 6. Valley will attempt to better on its 2-6 season record.
