The Vinal RVT Hawks (Middletown, CT) basketball were winner over the visiting Valley Regional Warriors (Deep River, CT), 54-43 in Friday's non-league bout.

The Hawks now possess a 1-0 record. They play next when they host Goodwin Tech for a Connecticut Technical - Central bout on Friday, January 3. Vinal RVT will play a Gladiators team coming off a 78-52 non-league loss to Plainville (Plainville, CT). The Gladiators record now stands at 0-2.

With the loss, Valley Regional falls to 3-2 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Cromwell (Cromwell, CT) to play the Panthers in a Shoreline bout on Monday, December 30.
