California High School Basketball - River City holds off Aptos

December 27, 2024: West Sacramento, CA 95691

The River City Raiders basketball team scored 35 points and limited the visiting Aptos Mariners to 28 in the Raiders non-league triumph on Friday.

The Raiders now possess a 6-8 record. They play next when they travel to Wood for a Monticello Empire League game on Thursday, January 2. River City will confront a Wildcats team coming off a 61-42 non-league loss to Granada (Livermore, CA). The Wildcats record now stands at 6-7.

With the loss, Aptos falls to 7-3 on the campaign. The Mariners host Summit Shasta (Daly City, CA) to confront the Black Bears in a non-league game on Monday, December 30. The Black Bears go into the game with a record of 2-3. Summit Shasta lost 47-31 in their recent non-league game against Carlmont (Belmont, CA)
