December 27, 2024: Flowery Branch, GA 30542 The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Cherokee Bluff Bears (Flowery Branch, GA) and the visiting Therrell Panthers (Atlanta, GA), observed Cherokee Bluff's basketball team overwhelm Therrell by a score of 58-29.
The Bears (10-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Arabia Mountain (Lithonia, GA). The Rams come into the non-league challenge with a 9-4 record. In their last challenge, Arabia Mountain trounced Rockdale County (Conyers, GA), 66-48, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Panthers encounter the Hapeville Charter Hornets (Atlanta, GA) in a AA Region 5 challenge, on Friday, January 3. Therrell will attempt to improve on its 1-4 season record. The Hornets come into the challenge with a 4-4 record after their 78-3 non-league win over Utopian Academy for the Arts (Ellenwood, GA).
